Elephant Park is a brand-new neighbourhood and community just a short distance from Elephant & Castle’s rail and underground stations. There are new homes, shops and restaurants, and pocket parks to sit and relax in, all centred around a new two-acre park with shady, mature trees and the natural play area, Elephant Springs.
There is a wide range of places to eat and drink, offering cuisines from across the world such as: Ethiopian, Japanese, Korean, American, Italian, and over the next couple of months there will also be Mexican, Chinese and Latin American restaurants and cafes opening too. Many of the businesses have come from the local area, and are all contributing to Elephant Park becoming a vibrant, buzzing destination to head for at any time of day.
The new two-acre park includes many mature London plan trees that give shade in the summer, and provide a richness of habitats for wildlife. Stretch out on the grass with a picnic, or meet a friend for a coffee on one of the many benches and seating areas dotted around the space.
Elephant Springs
Within the park, those in the know make a beeline for Elephant Springs - an urban oasis crafted from water, rock and sand for the whole community to enjoy. Inspired by the positive impact nature can have on your wellbeing, and how children can benefit from outdoor play, Elephant Springs is a place for everyone to relax, have space to breathe and to have fun.
Pack your bucket and spade and your swimming costume, as there are sandy beaches, fountains and waterfalls and slides to play on.
There are water fountains around the park, and public toilet facilities within the newly opened tree House building. Bring a picnic, or grab a takeaway from one of the many cafes and restaurants nearby.
Elephant Springs has been designed with the entire community in mind. If you’re looking for places to play near Elephant and Castle, please bring your family and friends, play in the water, or just relax and experience this unique environment – it’s here for everyone to enjoy!
Elephant Springs is now open for spring and summer 2022, every day from 10am-6pm.
